Pack Hunter Raid DPS
The default raid DPS template: 4pc Pack Hunter relic + split Hunter/Healer gear for Berserker+Lifebinder tag seeding. Consistent crit damage, forgiving rotation.
Overview
Pack Hunter Raid DPS is the default raid damage template for players who don’t want to think about RNG-based build paths. It uses the 4pc Pack Hunter relic (crit damage + speed-gated crit chance) as the damage floor and splits gear across Hunter Combo and Healer Transfusion sets to seed two expertise tags at adventure start.
This is the build the top guild parties run on floors 15–20 because it’s simple, the math is deterministic, and the survival layer (Lifebinder) covers for raid damage spikes without sacrificing offensive output.
Gear Core
- Chest: Hunter Combo armor (the HP+Def plate with the Berserker-tag Epic skill)
- Ring 1: Hunter Combo ring (crit chance primary)
- Ring 2: Healer Transfusion ring (Lifebinder Epic skill for Lifebinder-tag seeding)
- Necklace 1: Healer Transfusion accessory (Purifying Touch 2pc cleanse)
- Necklace 2: Time Locket or any crit-scaling generic accessory
That split gives you 2-piece Hunter Combo (Eagle Eye) for passive crit stacking and 2-piece Healer Transfusion (Purifying Touch) for 15% cleanse-on-heal. Importantly, the hidden Epic rarity skill on each piece means you walk in with both Berserker and Lifebinder expertise tags already counting — you’re effectively 1–2 breakpoints ahead on both specs before you pick anything.
See our gear-tag mechanic guide for why this matters.
Relic Core
- 4-piece Pack Hunter: 20% Crit Damage + conditional 10% Crit Chance (Speed > 10).
- 2-piece Dragon Fire: 20% Magic Crit Damage (cheap floor for caster-adjacent picks).
Standard 4+2 split, maximum crit scaling. Prioritize Tooth slot with flat crit substats — that single slot is the biggest DPS multiplier in the whole relic tree.
Pet Team
- King Gloop (Legendary Slime) — Slime Freeze. Every DPS build wants Freeze uptime on the boss.
- Fae Dragon (Artifact) — Moon Burst AoE. If you have it unlocked, it’s the highest-scaling damage pet.
- Drib (Rare Slime) — Slime Boost. Flex filler; upgrade if you get a rarer neutral pet.
- Mount: Nimbus (Legendary Cloud) for Speed — keeps you above the 10 Speed threshold for Pack Hunter 4pc’s conditional crit.
Skill Priority
- Triple Threat (Mythic, S+) — Berserker capstone. Main-attack-focused damage mythic. Top pick if you’re seeing Berserker offers.
- Unleash Fury (Mythic, S) — Rage-scaling burst damage. Synergizes with Hunter Combo’s stacking Eagle Eye.
- Counter-Haste (Legendary, A) — each counter fills Burst faster; with stacked Speed you counter often.
- Crit Damage (Legendary) — raw crit damage percent stacker. Always a pick.
- Lifesteal (Legendary) — Lifebinder tag. Covers for missing healer uptime in 4-man raid parties.
- Last Stand (Legendary, A) — 30% HP shield. Emergency survival on damage spikes.
Role Setting
Set your role to Hunter in the Character menu. Hunter role grants the 2pc Hunter Combo bonus extra stacks (15 instead of 10) and +3% damage on each crit. If you’re sub-cap on gear and struggling to stack, the role bonus more than pays for itself.
Positioning
- You: back-left slot
- Healer: middle
- Guard: front
Back position reduces incoming damage and lets Pack Hunter’s crit conditions fire reliably since you take fewer Speed-check-invalidating CCs.
Tier Rating: S+
Pack Hunter Raid DPS is the default S+ raid build for a reason: it’s forgiving, scales linearly with gear investment, and its expertise tag seeding means the skill bundle generator starts offering synergy picks from day 1. It doesn’t have the ceiling of Bolt-Storm-Caster or the burst of Knife-Assassin, but it has the highest floor and the shortest gap between “just unlocked” and “clearing floor 18.”
