Toxic Torment
A Soulreaper poison DoT build that melts enemies over time with stacking venom. Excels in long fights and boss encounters.
Overview
The Toxic Torment is the premier Soulreaper poison build. It stacks poison and debuffs on enemies that tick for increasing damage. Poison Catalyst ensures poisoned enemies take bonus damage from all sources. The new Plague capstone spreads poison across enemies and even across battles. Malice amplifies all damage per debuff type.
Core Skills (Priority Order)
- Vile Strike (Common) - Unlocks poison attacks.
- Poison Catalyst (Legendary, A) - Bonus damage to poisoned enemies.
- Plague (Mythic, S) - Soulreaper capstone variant. Poison spreads 30%, even across battles.
- Rotweave (Legendary, A) - Arcflare poisons and weakens.
- Malice (Legendary, S) - +12% damage per debuff type on target.
- Weaken (Legendary, A) - ATK reduction debuff.
- Hex Mark (Mythic, S+) - Curse low-HP enemies, spreads on defeat.
Supporting Skills
- Vile Knife (Common) - Add poison to knives for more application.
- Frostblight (Legendary, A) - Freeze → Poison, Poison → Slow.
- Dark Bolt (Common) - Bolts may poison.
- Poison Warden (Common) - Chance to poison when attacked.
- Arcflare Volley (Common) - Base arcflare for Rotweave triggers.
Expertise Path
Stack Soulreaper tags. Poison skills, Arcflare skills, Weaken, and Soul skills all give Soulreaper. The debuff-stacking kit naturally pushes you toward 5+ tags.
Strategy Tips
- The debuff stack is everything: Poison + Weaken + Slow + Hex Curse. Malice amplifies ALL damage by 12% per type.
- Plague spreading across battles means your poison investment carries forward.
- Rotweave bridges arcflare and poison, letting you apply multiple debuffs per action.
- Frostblight adds freeze → poison → slow chain for even more Malice stacks.
Tier Rating: B
Poison is weak in the current meta. DoT damage is outpaced by bolt and knife burst. The debuff stacking with Malice is interesting but requires too many turns to pay off. Most fights are decided before poison builds reach their potential.
